2025년 인구주택총조사, '센서스 100년'을 맞다

통계청은 몇 년마다 ’인구주택총조사’를 합니다. 이 조사로 한국에 사는 사람 수와 집의 수를 알 수 있습니다. 2025년 조사는 특별했습니다. 한국이 처음 인구를 조사한 지 100년이 되는 해였기 때문입니다. 그래서 2025년 조사를 ’센서스 100년’이라고 부릅니다. 이 자료는 정부가 정책을 만들 때 중요하게 쓰입니다.
Translation
Statistics Korea conducts the 'Population and Housing Census' every few years. This survey shows how many people and how many homes there are in Korea. The 2025 survey was special. That is because it was the 100th anniversary of Korea's first population census. That is why the 2025 survey is called 'Census 100 Years.' This data plays an important role when the government makes policy.
